If only there were a technology that would allow me to send a message to the whole world to remind them of their lack of human decency on real-life causes.

Twitter, that’s what we’re talking about, twitter has transformed tweety bird, but more importantly, the way subjects in the world discussed. From breakfast to a new song, a movie release, trailers, news, politics, pop culture, T W I T T E R knows what to do. It is your advertiser, your “how-to”, your laughing tool, the place that makes you go what the actual, it is a powerful tool in contemporary society.

To describe it in a whole simple package, twitter is what Steven Johnson says;

 

 I think there is something even more profound in what has happened to Twitter over the past two years, something that says more about the culture that has embraced and expanded Twitter at such extraordinary speed. Yes, the breakfast-status updates turned out to be more interesting than we thought. But the key development with Twitter is how we’ve jury-rigged the system to do things that its creators never dreamed of.

 

And it is currently and always will be changing the way we live.

  1. Hey Jules, I really like how you’ve focused on how Twitter is a platform that has transformed the way news in contemporary society is discussed with the use of Steven Johnson’s work. I similarly used this in my post, however focused more on how this has opened up questioning into the field of journalism which you might find interesting 🙂
